I have said this numerous times. I have made a killing shorting the market using vix as one of the main indicators. Whenever the vix reached 30 you go LONG. Whenever the vix hovers around 20 you short. I have made money going down and going up. Every time the vix reached 19 this year a massive crash proceeded. 100%. The pattern can break, but I have not seen enough to come to that conclusion. The vix trades inversely to the S&P. They were trading together again which is very unusual, this usually leads to the pattern and trend breaking. I know how the vix works. You don't need to explain to me.

There are other indicators that i look like the divergence between the smart money and dumb money. Which is happening again. Whenever that occurred it called the top or bottom of the cycle.

Another indicator that is esoteric astrology. It has called the top and bottom of this market better than any of the other indicator that i look at.

Dow theory is crap.
