uh everything i've read online tells me it's a terrible idea to hold leveraged ETFs long-term, but i see its performance and just exclaim stocks only go up.

also HQU (2x QQQ traded in canadian dollars) has an expense ratio of 1.52%, how bad is that really

for the record I'd be doing this in a TFSA (tax-free) where i can't margin trade or do options. I can get away with daytrading until the CRA decides i'm too successful and want their tax cut if they decide my TFSA is being used as a business instead of a personal savings account.
