>Daily reminder Litecoin is the most widely adopted privacy coin available on major exchanges

lol the Litecoin Foundation has literally warned users not to rely on MWEB for ironclad privacy:

>In every decision taken, there are trade-offs. In Litecoin’s case, the trade-off for basic/light privacy (opt-in, MW) was made with the intent of being more exchange friendly — and being exchange friendly, also remain liquidity-friendly. On the other hand, a cryptocurrency that’s completely private in every way, shape and form faces a much higher risk of an exchange delisting. This increases the difficulty for people entering the space to gain access to the cryptocurrency.

>Although MWEB provides basic privacy features, MWEB should not be used for illicit activities requiring an extreme amount of privacy due to the potential for transactions being linked together via sniffer nodes.

>you mean to tell me that the guy who invented antivirus software an outspoken advocate and supporter of internet privacy wasn't able to secure his own xmr bags? how in the fuck is that possible unless monero has some real traceability issues?

lol it can be as simple as not securing your seed properly. Get raided and oops!

>Well, guess what! That will mean that people will need to buy BTC first,

Atomic swaps will eventually ported to other chains, likely starting with LTC.

>if there would be some massive ban on monero, is it possible that in the long term it could actually make the price grow because they would essentially admit that it's so good

The only reason to ban Monero is because it's TOO effective at what it does. Therefore:

banning Monero = effectively endorsing its efficacy and reliability = encouraging even more adoption, not less.

And because banning it would reinforce the perception of scarcity the price would likely go up, not down.

Basically, win-win for XMR as long as atomic swaps are fully operational.
