In the long term this is good, as it solves the question of what to do with "excess population" relative to jobs in an age of heavy automation. If mere money is no longer enough to demonstrate power ("oh yeah that's really cool you spent decades building a business, I'm richer than you because I bought some shares of GameStop with my 2020 stimmy check and held them") then the real social climbers will have to demonstrate power over other people by hiring armies of servants again, or by building more and bigger businesses, or funding large public works like the robber barrons, all of which require hands to do the work.

In the short term it's anuddah shoah because the boomers are getting rugpulled on the eve of the last of them aging into retirement so they can't do a thing about it.
