seems much more likely since it is confirmed that fednow forked it and is using a custom token to settle. Fednow must be interoperable with all the financial institutions in USA, so they HAVE to use that fork too, and all those institutions have to transact cross-border which implies the same thing, they ALL USE A FORK.
