Regardless of your outdated investing ideas about "always this" , "need to be brick and mortar that", I can tell you the last thing people who buy used cars want is some massive faceless corporation. And I speak as one who sold used cars in HS in college.

What someone is looking for when buying a used car is one of the following:
1 (less common) to find someone they can trust and also chew out and find when something breaks
2 (very common) to find a "steal", to rip you the salesman off and find an improperly priced diamond in the rough that has somehow magically transported itself outside the realm of normal market forces.

What I said about CC was mostly a joke, but I think before "going all in ride or die bois" on CarMax you should go an visit one. I one was a doe eyed car salesman who believed people just wanted fair treatment, a professional look, and good honest pricing like you can find at carmax. They do not. They want a Nigerian guy who they think they can rip off with their boiler room impression.
