But your anecdote basically confirms what I said. The fact that you advised your family to invest when you didn't invest any amount yourself speaks to the level of conviction you had in your beliefs, for most of 2013 you could get a btc for less than 100$, if you knew it was a good thing you would be living like an absolute peasant or getting whatever extra work you could to dump all your money into it, but you didn't. You cant just look back at it in hindsight and say that you knew all along just because you heard of it.

I heard of bitcoin when it was less than a dollar, but didn't invest until several years later, that doesn't make me a savant or anything.
