>i figured if it was from a storm it be considered looting

Wut?

Shouldn't be any different than metal detecting. People loose things down the rainwater storm drain sewers every day (or purposely discard, found many gun pieces and weed hitter pipes), and when nice storms come along and flush the system, coins jewelry and other heavies pile up at the outflows. No detecting required, you just scratch around or use a scoop and sifter and collect all the concentrated freebies. I've detected since childhood but unless you have an amazing virgin spot it's not nearly as fun or lucrative as mining storm sewers.

>You pull your head out of your ass, go to your library, get the krause coin catalog, open to 3rd reich, whip out your dick, and smash it with the spine.

Lmao brutally based.

I dunno what it is with these useless retard zoomers but as a kid in the 90s I learned how to navigate coins like a pro without the internet, just books and the advice of oldtimers.

If people can't figure it out with the vast wealth of information available at their fingertips that I could only dream of having as a kid then they absolutely deserve to get assfucked by forgeries and chocolate bars.

Why do you keep asking? What kind of coins do you have interest in?

Before I focused my energy into scrapsperging I spent years learning the antiquities/ancient coin market and hoovering up cheapies being sold low by ignorant europoors and dumb boomer heirs. I can point you to good sellers or individual coins for sale at good prices better than anyone in the general but you ain't providing shit for me to work with.

>Should I buy an ancient silver coin guys?

There is a pretty high knowledge/expertise barrier to entry with Ancient coins. Fakes are extremely plentiful and much harder for newfriends to detect than Chinese fakes of modern (post-1800) coins or bullion. Also there is a big spread between a professional dealer's asking price and what an individual would likely be able to sell back for. I primarily purchase from the metal detectorists and other collectors themselves at low prices I can actually turn a profit from, but if you don't know the market you're likely to overspend or get screwed with fake shit. I can point you in the right direction if there is a particular type of ancient coin you're looking for.

Trump rounds are pretty baste NGL, but I and others here would like to know where you heard about /pmg/ and what part of the internet you came from?

Has someone been proselytizing on reddit or instagram? Linking on twatter?

Afrostackers are pretty rare, as the tendency to think and prepare ahead and stockpile resources for hard times wasn't really developed south of the Sahara, but instead of tripfagging you can post semi-identifying pictures like the Asuna and Yukariposters or me with piles of sterling silver scrap or artifacts to let anons know you're monitoring things. Tripfagging is pretty lame. Good to have more blacks stacking though.

There is a decent Tetradrachm from Tyre on eBay right now:

Fake ancient coins are a huge problem so always cross-reference seller names/handles with these Fake Ancient Coin sellers lists, they aren't perfect but are actively updated:

Very unusual and interesting shape even for a cob, condition looks uncannily good for a saltwater wreck recovery though so you should definitely grab all the paperwork for it if you want to maintain resale value. As a 1717 I'm wondering what wreck it came from? Cool score anon.

Yes absolutely, but you need to have a knack for it. Trading the market is very different than trading cardboard crack, it's a much more "inefficient" market so if you know how and where to buy cheap and how and where to sell high to fatbeards then it's very good money. If you don't have the mind for it you'll screw yourself. I used to make bank buying and parceling out MTG collections 15+ years ago, lots of amazing stuff passed through my hands it hurts remembering all my pages of Dual Land playsets, p9s, all sorts of awesome old cards I'd kept for free by selling enough mediocre stuff to pay for it all but decided my autism would be better directed elsewhere and cashed out. Missed out on some sick gainz but it was the right decision.

>Have had more luck finding cheap buy it now bullion.

That's good at least! Sorry about the lack of luck but with the long history and popularity of sterling over there I'm sure you'll find something eventually. Ebay may enjoy more engagement here than in the UK, and the USA is a big historically prosperous country so there are countless attics and basements for old sterling to be found tucked away in then put up for sale.

In the past I've put links here to good UK scrap deals for UK scrappers but not worth it with pricey registered international shipping to me and will continue sharing such listings when I come across more.

Dunno if you've ever heard of the Victorian era "sewer toshers" who collected coins and jewelry and scrap that fell down the drains under London and collected together much like heavy gold in the bottom on Pan Man's sluice in the cracks between bricks in the drain channel.

Shit sewers are obviously no-go but I've sifted the gravel below rain storm sewer outflows and hiked deep inside others and picked up lots of old coins, silver, and a good bit of old gold jewelry as well with just a flashlight and sieve to screen out sand and gravel scooped from the channel. Shake out the sand and leave behind coins and goodies to fill one's pockets with, it's awesome.

It's my absolute favorite way to treasure hunt, I've metal detected for 25 years and nothing beats a good old storm drain sewer, I'm completely serious. Sharing valuable secrets
here with you guys, most people have no idea how easy it is to find PMs in (under) any town for free. If PMs moon I'm serious about traveling the nation mining out sewers, they are completely loaded and very rich if you know where inside sewers to locate the literal paystreaks of concentrated water-sorted metals including the silver and gold items.

Makes me feel like a white-trash Indiana Jones, lel.

Thanks fren, the kilos aren't a standard product available on their website, gotta get them refined and poured so they're pretty scarce bars but if you collect enough scrap you can get some made for yourself too! The longer narrower dimensions than normal poured kilos give them an excellent feel in the hand also. Truly made to be held and carried around.

Seriously consider taking the scrap-pill anons, stacking cheap silver that you worked and "mined" for feels pretty alpha and gives you a lot more options and independence. It's a good skill.

A few years ago I bought a collection of ancient roman and medieval coins from the Italian eBay, had to use a shipping forwarder to smuggle the collection out but got a pile of great historic coin for below spot, quite a pleasing heist.

Just get smart and be creative, great deals are absolutely everywhere if you know *how* to look.

>it is nice to talk to real anons, there are a lot of shills here.

In spite of the crap and shills /pmg/ is still the best general around, good to chat with real human beans.

Also;

>Don't worry I ain't competing with your purchases

Just wanted to add that I don't mind if you or anyone else here competes, I have neither enough time nor income to afford more than a thin sliver of the wealth sold cheap every day, I have a comfy stack already and want my dragonbros here to understand what an opportunity it is and help pull silver off the market while also completely bypassing spot price and premiums. Richfags probably have better things to do with their time but if one is a teenage stacker on a budget, learning how to scrap could increase the weight of one's stack 50-100+% compared to only buying taxed memecoins with that same budget. It makes a huge difference when ultimately all that will matter is ounces and grams, and it is also WAY more fun to build legit skills and get fat loads of silver for peanuts than buying overpriced crud from dealers.
