If you're drinking 4-5% ABV beer, you're most likely just going to pass out or throw up before you do any significant damage to your body. Your stomach is the bottleneck. If you drink 6-7 beers a couple times per week you're giving your body some time to recover. You can actually reverse alcoholic-derived fatty liver disease in as little as two weeks of abstaining from alcohol. It's not nearly as cut-and-dry as sobertards want you to think.
