They are not selling Melvin Capital is doing a short ladder attack to trick the algorithm into thinking the price is dropping. Just take a look at the volume being traded, it is waaay waaayyy too low for the price to drop this hard. They are simply trading back and forth the same shares for a lower and lower price to make the algorithm think there are actually people panic selling.
