Jesus Christ this board is full of retards. OP is the mark. You don't fuck the mark, you make him think you wanna fuck so he gives you $2000. She hasn't even kissed him yet and is already asking for money. She isn't actually interested.

Why would you leave off the last two days where it shot up to 2.57? I think it’s retarded to buy this but your chart is totally irrelevant now.

Man what a weird weekend.
>see ghost shills here Thursday, think about buying
>don’t wanna fuck with my stack, order up some eth on Friday
>can withdraw in 6 days >.<
>getting more and more mad, as fucking shit moons
>whitepaper drips, moons even more
>PIVX-gate dump, get excited, gonna get in cheap!
>find out it’s coded by pajeets, run by a greasy, long haired weeb, and Mccaffe acts like he never heard of the shit
>not sure if I’m gonna buy any or not
How retarded am I to still be thinking about buying?

Sorry if this is a retarded question:

My employer's 401k is terrible. All their expense ratios are 1.00%+ except for FMAGX (Fidelity Magellan) which is at 0.55% or so. They have no index funds.

Their match is 0.20 to my dollar up to 5%. On top of that, their vesting is graded so that you need to be there for at least 2 years before you see anything, and even then it's 20% per year.

I will have been there for 2 years this October, and I'm looking to leave because their working conditions and treatment of their employees is fucking awful. The only reason I've stuck around is because they pay me a lot of money for someone only a year~ out of college.

I also have 40,000 left in student loans at rates of 4-6.5% that I'm trying to knock out by the end of next year.

With that said, should I bother to contribute up to their match at all? The way I figure it, if I manage to find an employer that doesn't suck this much in the next year, I'll only keep 20% of their contribution when I leave. 20% of 20% on my dollar is 4% overall ROI. Wouldn't it make more sense to just focus on paying down my student loan instead of singing up for their terrible 401k?

Can someone help clarify capital gains tax please?

If I open an index fund, for example, with $10,000, and it pays out dividends, but I choose to have them automatically reinvested into the fund, I pay 0 capital gains tax right?

If I sell some of that index fund, I do pay capital gains tax?

What if I choose to take the dividends in cash instead of having them reinvested, do I pay capital gains then as well?

I'm asking because I'm trying to figure out what exactly you're supposed to pull out of your index funds once you retire, your dividends?

Sup.

I came here cause I need some tips.
I got a hard time deciding what I want to do for a living.
Problem is not that I can't think of stuff to work on (eg writing a book, a blog, photoshop, silk print, develop an app... ) BUT: When I go for one thing all the other options come to mind and I think about losing potential achievement for not going after the other ideas.
It's a fucking doom loop.
