pretty sure the idea is that people will form communities with their chosen memetic tribe and this is part of the bifurcation process

one part (technocratic totalitarian) will be creepy BlackRock brave new world fabian woke, probably pumping everyone's brains full of ELF frequencies so they are perma-happy while living under glorified slavery, and the other world will be characterized by the ability to freely associate and make your own rules

so, people like you will probably go and form orderly communities where you have regular hellfire and brimstone church services and exclude people who don't look or think like you and probably form associations with other similarly inclined communities. but other communities will be different, and maybe you'll trade/pool money with communities you don't share ideals/identities with but are still willing to collaborate with.

obviously it is diagnosably schizophrenic for me to be projecting future societal scenarios based on literally nothing but my own delusions and extrapolations but this sort of bifurcated society strikes me as one possible scenario.

we still need a catalyzing event to formally kick off the process, though. i feel like we're pretty close to that event, whatever it will be.
