What kinds of businesses can a scientist start?
It seems like everything except consulting would have huge start-up fees and be difficult to establish a customer base.
I'm tired of making patents for companies which give me a piddly salary. What should I start learning about to become a self-made man?

>stuck with shit quality products
An experienced Amazon seller told me its a great way to avoid destroying own Amazon listing.

If the quality is really shit, then it can be sold on eBay over time. Or just gifted to friends, or as marketing.

an entertainment classic

after a few months of communication with chink suppliers, I understand that you have to explain everything to them into detail step by step, like a child

That is what I want to try. Many different simple products, mostly plastic. Place orders in the range of 1k to 3k USD.
If something goes wrong, well, it's calculated risk I am willing to take

I need to keep busy over the next 6 months at least before applying to finance grad jobs. I want to improve my competitiveness as much as I can until then. Any ideas?

Im considering sitting for the Level 2 CFA exam, and i'm trying to find part-time work but I need some other stuff to do. Is volunteering good? Is it lame to include another language you learned on Duolingo in your resume? Should I try learn VBA?

I need some ideas.
