Does any British anons know the setup of reducing tax liability by moving to the isle of man?
I asked reddit and they responded that their is still a difficulty in cashing out crypto despite the 101 articles saying its the 'new crypto capital'.
Also, if I move over to the IoM do i still need to pay capital gains on all the crypto ive made so far or can that be struck off if i move it into a foreign company?

Hey guys whats the tax implication of literally (As a UK resident) moving over to the Isle of Man and just living there? Apparently as soon as I land I can become a tax resident. Now ignoring CGT (As I have to live here for 5 years to not be considered anymore for UK CGT), the staking I get from Defi projects will be considered as income tax and therefore subjected to IoM income tax brackets as normal? However It seems that with strict anti-laundering regulations just casually buying/selling crypto would make me a business? Any advice would be great. Cheers.

Do I have to declare sums below the capital gains allowance (£12.4k) ?

I invested some money in 2017 which went from around £400 gbp then to £1600 now through many trades (some bad some good). So well below the tax allowance. Those funds are on binance.

Now I invested around £8k fresh fiat recently in the last couple of months.(I converted gbp to eur on revolut then sent euro to coinbase, is that taxed too btw, gbp to euro?) Anyway this is a sum I am holding with no trades whatsoever and will cash out during the bullrun. I obviously plan to pay all taxes on this investment, and should be relatively easy given that I'm just holding them.

Now what I'm not sure about is what to do with the first sum? The £1600 on binance? Should I cash that out to my bank account via revolut and then re invest it or is that like "cleaning" it? Any suggestions?

Given that the capital gains allowance is £12,300 per year, can I just cash out £5k and put them in the bank?
