We're no where near that critical point because there isn't a parallel global economy competing with US hegemony. This is why BRICS is talked a lot here because it represents a viable alternative. There has never been an alternative to the economic might of the United States until this past decade with China. The nation has more people than the United States and is currently the world's factory. That economic position is a threat to the United States that is also bolstered by other nations wanting to join that bloc. In short, the G7 is Europe with the US as top dog while BRICS is other global power houses with China as the top dog. The minor nations of the world will have a choice, the G7 or BRICS and considering how many of them have seen the USD being used as a political tool, you will find that they will choose BRICS instead. 2050 is when I think BRICS will be fully up and running, so dropping fiat for precious metals is the only way to preserve your wealth in this transitional period which is has only just started.
