If you keep saying that (hint prime brokerages have not, and legally cannot close shorts until chapter 11 has completely concluded) it may come true. But in reality the naked shorts are tax free because they never close their positions, that is why the “regulators” panicked and created the expert market in the fall of 2021 because of all the insane naked shorted positions across many stocks that are a huge risk if retail started dog piling in, this combined with a rc type figure who took a big position and did a restructuring would blow up all these decades old positions which are now inaccessible to retail and are out in Davy jones’ “expert market”. Shorts are truly fucked here.
