>we got transferred to various Tom Thumbs and our store was shut down.
>The Tom Thumb got a newer POS system that we already had. It was so new everyone had trouble with it but I didn't because I was a bagger/cart pusher & cashier. Despite this they got mad if I asked to be put on a register.

>old store had a button for you to lean on as a cashier to make the conveyor belt push groceries to you and a button to lean on to spin a large circular table AND had a bagging station right next to the scanner
>new store had an automatic conveyor belt that spammed you with groceries, a 1 way convener belt that created a shit heap after 5 groceries, and the cashier bagging station had to be walked to. Nope. not next to the scanner
>nonstop busy, get reprimanded a lot
>at the end of the night, I had to do all returns, all restrooms, all trash, all wipe downs, go through 2 aisles of freezers (2 aisles with freezers on both my left and right) and get everything to stand upright which took 2 hours and you had to literally climb on the shelves to do it and they'd just keep falling down and I'd get yelled at next day about it
>also I didn't get a raise despite everyone else getting a raise when transferring over. This had to do something with not transferring over as a cashier so I didn't get cashier pay (despite me doing both jobs)

there's probably more bullshit than that, but fuck that was the worst job I ever had in my life. I just called in before my shift and said "I can't do this. I quit."
