BTC prices move the same on BitMEX, Bitfinex, GDAX, Binance, etc. Also, BitMEX has more safety-related features that most other exchanges. Just because retards get liquidated doesn't mean you can't use stop losses to minimize the damage of a trade that goes against you too far.

Once you've developed a good understanding of TA, you're doing yourself a disservice by not going to an exchange that offers leverage. Why not maximize your gains and minimize your exposure by using leverage? It's unironically safer.
