Didn't read the thread so IDK if someone already mentioned this, but FAGMAN isn't the entire industry, and you don't really want to work at a FAGMAN company unless you're really into coding and like being overworked. I think the better strategy is to go for a /biz/ company in which the SWE department isn't stupid. Yeah you'll make less money but it'll be more chill so that you can actually live your life when not doing your 8 hours, plus there's still a lot of money to be made with that route and the benefits will be great.
