there's this story of this one futures trader who specialised in Lumber. he was profitable as fuck. he knew everything there was to know about lumber futures - that is how the price react to news. but one day he was asked about green lumber (that is non-dried wood) and turned out that mother thought 20 years in his career that green lumber was wood that was painted green.

the point of this story is that you do not have to understand shit about a system to make money. you only have to know how it behaves.
