Every company I have worked at, there were a few stoner bros (and some chicks) around who seemed like they could function fine on it.

Then inevitably, without fail, they would eventually get fired for underperforming or sometimes for some big fuckup like sleeping through a really important early AM meeting.

People have so many stories like this from working with stoners that it's become a stereotype. It may be fine every now and then but as a regular thing it makes you lazy and stupid, which results in consequences that *will* fuck with your life.
