so basically i wouldn't rely on ortex at all other than long-term trends but then what's the point if we get official data bi weekly already

look at that noise for mid-august, looks like the trend was massively downwards and shorts were actually covering
but official data shows it was just trending upwards

if we only got short interest data monthly or longer, yeah this might be useful. But right now it's too variable for short-term interpretations
