Szabo left Bitcoin and joined the ETH project citing it as "more important things" way back then, though, so I'm big on ETH, too.

Alright gentlemen, in this firesale/crash there is only one thing that makes sense: use the autism this board has to attempt to reach a consensus on what are the non-shitcoins in this space.

I propose the following:
Monero: as far as I am aware the only completely private currency.
Beats zec for multiple reasons:
1. Zooko's publicly stated intentions
2. The possibility to trace zec as it stands due to the vast majority being public transactions not private make it susceptible to blockchain analysis
3. Trusted setup protocol always leaves the possibility of the founders having saved the masterkey and printing shit out of thin air with nobody being able to tell

Ethereum: Possibly but so much of the supply has ended up in the hands of shitcoin ico owners. Casper might be big though but it won't be here until 2020 if not later. With that having been said if there is anyone autistic enough to make it work it's money skelly.

Link: Only if the team actually manages to come through, which we will see sometime in the (near???) future. Mainnet launch is supposedly getting closer. December?Q1 2k19? I don't know.


If there are any real arguments to be made as to why the above are in fact shitcoins in disguise please do enlighten me.

Honorable mention: Tron: started off as a 100% shitcoin, has managed to somewhat turn it around by buying bittorrent and might actually end up being useful, only time will tell.
