>Why not have the text proposal earlier?
The Burn Tax itself was proposed in proposal 3568 and vote was successful. Beyond that, 4095 was for Delegation and Staking which also passed successfully. The vote we all counted down for a week was 4159 which was as it said, a distribution of code for both 3568 and 4095.
>Why wait until mid sept to vote on the parameter proposal?
Currently with the fine print of 4159, either TFL has to adopt TR's code into the official git repositories and implement it, which they're giving 10 BUSINESS days to complete, which may as well be two weeks and some change, or they'll be implementing full blockchain code for LUNC into their own personal development git repository which will be forking the chain. That fork will then require all nodes to update their chain code, however long it'll take for them to do that, test it, audit it, make sure it's working, and THEN they'll be implementing a parameter proposal to make "LUNC 1.5" active with TR code in place, controlling all development of chain activities there after. TFL will essentially be out of the development circle concerning LUNC.
>Still feels like an awful lot of foot dragging.
It feels like it, but this is borderline bureaucratic delegation which is fuckin' slow as shit in the first place. Just making sure all the nodes running their code at as high capacity as they can get's going to likely take a month, then they'll throw the parameter vote out asking whether or not all nodes and staking entities are good with flipping the switch, or if another issue needs addressing.
It's gonna take a minute, fren, but in the end it's good for us, those that're actually interested in LUNC, because it actually shows they're actively working on it rather than doing shoddy work and rushing it into a major fuck up. If they can prove themselves and their worth to us, they get to easily solidify themselves as the future devs of the chain. That's a lot of "don't fuck up" pinned to them.

It's okay, anon. Eventually it'll make sense.

Aquafresh here.
I just finished my history MA and got a part-time job in a research project. I tried to get a PhD, but that didn't work out yet and I'm getting more and more doubts about an academic career.
Since my new job is part-time, I have plenty of free time. I can do a second part-time job, but almost everything I'd earn there I'd have to pay in taxes, so that's not going to happen. Instead, I'd like to start a business on the side. It's not for the money, since I can survive on my salary, but just in case I lose interest in academia. It'd be nice to have some extra cash though.

What would you recommend I do to just start a business? I can try out a couple of things if it doesn't cost me too much money.

Something about myself
>Quite into history (especially 19th century),
>Bilingual Dutch-Portuguese (mom's Brazilian)
>Not completely inept on the subject of economics (compared to my friends from the humanities department)
>Not the most handsome so jobs involving my looks are off the list (even foot model).
Ask me anything you want to know.

Some earlier plans I had:
>Webshop with merchandise of Dutch naval heroes / other historical figures
>Political podcast / news review with a friend (99% sure this would cost us both our jobs)
>Breed guinea pigs (I realised there's almost no market when trying to get rid of the first babies).
