A pleasure to watch history with you all. We gonna get a bounce today. Barring circuit breakers, if you have puts, sell asap. Then buy calls. Sell them on the bounce. I'm thinking Trump is gonna do whatever it takes to keep the market from sinking too far below 2350 between now and November so don't get greedy. Also remember, no matter how much shit bulls or bears talk nobody has a crystal ball. That said, this virus shit ain't going away tomorrow so expect maximum volatility and ATH will be many months possibly a year away

Yep. Pic related to the nth degree.
>>12601054
>How would you execute all 3 trades in a millisecond? Doesn't it take a while before the balance of the first coin you buy gets updated? Or do you already hold a non-zero balance of all 3 coins before you start?
You just send the trades consecutively. The exchange is just a computer program taking inputs and moving stuff around in a database. It gets your trade off the wire, executes it, gets your second trade, executes it, then third. The amount of time is irrelevent between the orders, all that matters is that the orders are one after the other. When the exchange matching engine executes the trade, the database reflects this immediately so there isn't an issue of something not being updated yet before the next trade and so on. It's all just one big deterministic computer program doing what's it's told in the order it is told.
Natch, all of this is predicated on the exchange not being buggy. If it is, just move on somewhere the programmers are competent.
>>12601100
>But do you also set a min value for the size of the order?
Imagine you buy 100 nano / btc but there is only a 50 nano buy order on the eth pair with your arbitrage.
When you keep track of all the order books, make sure to keep all the volumes for each price updated as that is a crucial part of the data your script uses to predicate a trade decision on for the reasons you imagine.

If I had gone anywhere near r/buttcoin between it's incipience and 2017 and actually bought their bullshit and not gone in on crypto I would unironically absolutely positively kill myself. To think those jerkoffs "got it right" when they could all be multi-millionaires right now had they did the opposite of what they preached is massive ignorance. Hell, if they had bought $1000 worth of BTC when that board started and held it all through the boom and bust and sold it today they'd be millionaires.

There's a guy here that posts his blockfolio a lot and claims to have turned 1/2 btc into about 30 (at last count) in 6 months day trading so I guess it's possible. Unless he's larping which is quite possible.

So riddle me this, good sirs. What if I 100x long BTC and then I use my other account to pump the price with? Do I win crypto this way?

Pretty much. Except I'm still hard at work so now I'm up 84x. Would be a bit more but, you know, taxes. I don't arbitrage as a specific strategy though. I'm on so many exchanges that every so often, I'll have a bag that happens to be going for more somewhere else so I'll send it over but I don't do it systematically. I should though. It's not hard and there's money to be made for sure.
>>9400927
Basic advice is buy lower. If you look at something and think, this is it, I'm buying low, I'm about to get PAID, set your buy 20% lower than that.

Node is awesome with the whole nonblocking io but don't underestimate what can be done without that. I thought node or nothing then I ported one of my scriots to Python and it worked just as well and I depend on executing trades asap.

I have a feel for this but I'm curious about something from your perspective. A lot of people say things like "AI is running the market" but what exactly do you mean by that. AI covers a lot of ground. Some people consider shit like K nearest neighbor, the thing that powers Netflix recommendations to be a form of AI. Some people reserve that moniker for actual neural networks that rewire themselves based on experience like what powers Alpha Go. What exactly are you saying? If/Then/Else decision tree or super tensorflow CANN finger of God tier? Or are you just repeating buzzwords? No shame if the latter as you'll be in good company, I'm just curious.

I don't use any indicators, just look at the chart and eyeball it whether I think it's way oversold or not. If I think it is, I throw a lowball in. I do note where the price went so if I set my buy above the Ask and don't get it like in this situation, I start doing some serious self-evaluation. I also do this very very quickly, at least by manual trading standards. Apparently I was a tad too late this time though.
