It's worth noting that the EOY (Julian, Lunar) came and went and it's still not $2000/XRP, proving that Baba Cugs and Mellon and all the rest of the people are not infallible, and indeed might be full of shit, created or employed by some kind of viral marketing wing of Ripple that made a puzzle/riddle-based ARG to stimulate retail interest in XRP and help provide the network activity necessary to prove Ripplenet's viability as a payment solution and define it as a currency, not a security. So, in that way, the Mellon meme was a success. It successfully got people interested, just like the cartoon bear and the vertically-challenged Canadian gay rights icon.

But, it's worth noting that the prophecy didn't come true. I'm no cult member, I can admit when I was wrong. The fundamentals are still strong though, XRP is still going to be used as a supranational neutral bridge currency between central bank-issued digital currencies because it is The Standard and so it'll be worth a lot more money than it is now.

your digits should give you the answer to that question. short answer, yes- eventually. i think based off an initial entry into the cross-border payments/remittances industry, a 2 digit price is more likely, which climbs steadily as XRP-driven on-demand liquidity gains adoption.

the things that will really cause the price to take off are:
a) adoption of XRP as the neutral bridge currency between central bank-issued digital currencies, which won't happen for 1-2 more years at least, but will happen because XRP is literally The Standard

b) the adoption for XRP in the settlement of derivatives and commodities and securities, etc, i.e. All The Money (I feel that Flare's smart contract utility will be a key part of this step)
