There was also a very short dip in February/March (when I bought pic) but it didn't last long because of SVB and other banking crisis. Gold then reached all-time highs, and I didn't buy anything again until July, after the prices came back down.

Cheapies from March:
1 tube of 23.20 euro kangaroos
3 tubes of 22.64 euro noah's arks
Prices are just a little higher right now.

I never much cared about this COMEX stuff. I just buy silver and/or gold when there's a dip in the physical retail prices.
Also last fall the #silversqueeze stuff caused some dealer supply shortages. The premiums went up noticeably when they pulled that stunt. Luckily I had already done most of my buying, so I just stopped buying altogether until the dip in March. Pic is the cheapies. 23.20 euro kangaroos and 22.64 euro noah's arks.

2022 dates means they're probably just old stock the dealer is trying to get rid of. That's recent enough that it's probably not a buy-back from a customer. I got some cheap 2022 kangaroos earlier this year, in a sealed tube. They were advertised as 2022 roos, and cheaper than the 2023 coins. Basically just clearing out the old stock.

You should call it the UK noob stacker guide, because that's about all it's good for. Even in the EU, I can get cheapies on silver. This was 22.64/oz noah's arks, and 23.20/oz kangaroos, back in March.

The silver market is much more volatile than gold, so you can use that to your advantage. I only buy in quantity during dips like now, the one back in March, and last fall. That pretty much takes care of the premiums.
I didn't have very much money to spend in March, and pic is all I got. But it was cheap! The 3 tubes of noah's arks were 22.64 euros/oz and the kangaroos (the tube on the right) were 23.20 but I got those a week before the bottom.
Last fall I was buying noah's arks for 23.33, britannias for 23.39, and wieners for 23.51 (I bought a monster box of each). I bought a bit before the market had completely dropped (spot price was $1 higher) so I could have done even better but these prices are still very good.
And a week ago I bought a monster box of wieners at 23.53, so just a little higher than last fall.
Also, look for deals. Like those 2023 elephants that are going for less than wieners. That's a great buy!

Just buy stuff you like that's not too expensive. Generally I try to stay under 30 euros, but I'll go up to 35 if it's something I really want and/or a low mintage coin (under 10000). Only a couple times have I spent more than that, and never more than 40 for a 1 oz coin.
For stacking weight, I only buy the cheapest of cheapies and aim for 24 euros or less. There hasn't been many opportunities for that this year though. The last nice dip was in March, and I didn't have many funds ready at the time. Pic is what I bought.

Arks are 24 now. But I guess they weren't really that cheap. I got these 3 tubes a few month ago for 22.64 euros. And some kangaroos the week before for 23.20 euros (that's the tube on the right).

About a year ago, I decided to dump all my savings into metals. Took me about 6 months. Those 5-kilo coins were pretty good deals (came out to between 23-24 euros/oz). In general the armenian coins are pretty cheap. I bought some more tubes a few months ago. Now I wait for the next cheapies.

You should make a spreadsheet or something. I'm bad at computer and just keep a plain text file with tab-delimited fields, and that works gud enough for my purposes. It helps me keep track of what and how much I have, and what my costs were. Helps me stay on focus and avoid buying big premiums stuff or FOMO. So far I'm at 2704 oz @ 23.79530 euros/oz average. That's why I haven't bought since the last dip a couple months ago (pic related). I'm waiting for the next drop. There have been some attempts at spot price breaking below $23 lately, but too much resistance so far.

It might depends where exactly you live (shipping costs, etc.) but try these:
Acheter-Or-Argent.fr
goldsilver.be
europabullion.com

No, but there's a 5 oz Noah's Ark. It's 146.70 euros. You might get a better deal per oz if you go with the 10 oz or kilo size though (calculate it and see). But if you like 5 oz coins, it might be worth it.
This was my last order a few months ago, when there was a nice dip.

Maybe Ireland has different tax rules (they're in the EU), so you can take a trip there or France and buy some silver.
But I guess it doesn't matter much, gold works fine too. You can always just buy a silver coin you like every now and then. Try to get the ones that aren't minted in large quantities, they'll probably go up in value more. For example, you can still buy the very first Cambodian silver bullion coin in some shops. Not the 2023 one in this pic, the one from last year.

I bought these in February-March, when there was a dip. There was no gold dip.
Now I'm just waiting for some kind of opportunity.
