I too know these feels Anon. It makes it hard to spend on those frivolous, but relatively small purchases of consumer products. How can you spend $10 on something you don't need when if you just don't do that three times, you will have another ounce of silver, even if it's a plain Krugerrand or easily bullied Philly?

Clearly there's a point at which this becomes unhealthy, but maybe in these times, there are worse things than being like this.

I wonder why it is so much easier to be a miser when you stack precious metals? It's almost as hard NOT to be a miser when you are a stacker as it is not to be a spendthrift when you're not a stacker.
