what has value, is what is demanded (speculation doesn't count because it's meta)

for it to hold value, it needs to have the right tool for it; fiat doesn't because it's based on nothing, so it can be valued/demanded anytime in the future, it's based on weak economical incentives.

bitcoin is a protocol, it doesn't go out of business, you only need one copy of the protocol+blockchain on earth to rebuild it, so it's basically there forever.

so if bitcoin is demanded, it means it will be used, and if it is used it can be worth any amount really (no maximum).

all you would need is a more user friendly interface to use bitcoin (example of recent successful UI: discord)

you would need optical fibre everywhere, with good bandwith, more satellite options, solar pannels everywhere and reduced energy cost, decentralized hosting and dns, more dev time on bitcoin git (includes upper layers), after which you could easily automatize a lot of business involving wealth transfer (it's dealt with on a case by case situation by businesses and their R&D department guys like me), which will grant the business more money (and yes less workers)

will it happen? yes
will crypto be used in that case? energy cost lowering in particular will make it worthy to rent computational power and increasing demand for free wealth, so yes it has to as long we're selfish

will bitcoin go to moon? no, but it will make anyone involved that didn't sold very wealthy and potentially influential depending on the number of btc owned

Now imagine bitcoin goes to like 500k usd shortly, not because of failing fiat, but due to demand.
