So I guess you don't understand how supply/demand works.

When supply increases it pushes price down and when it increases it pushes price up. The opposite is true for demand.

So the "soft" peg comes in because supply is adjusted to match demand at the pegged price. This doesn't happen instantly but over time until the asset finds equilibrium.

This is the entire concept of rebase coins based on hundreds of years of economic theory.
