Well yeah, it's a free riding relationship. I remember seeing this guy on Twitter. The theme of the account was the investigation of how people treat people that they perceive as useless. He thought that capitalism and modernity in general encouraged people to think of one another primarily as objects rather than anything inherently special. I sort of empathized with that, because by rights I would have killed myself a long time ago if my dad didn't love me enough to house and feed me. Maybe all the people posting wagie memes just need a hug.
