Which leads me to this: if you're trading, there's a difference between swing trading and day trading. Swing trading leaves you less vulnerable to getting rekt because you're at the very least in it for some period of time. And try to swing something with a dividend, so if you do get Bog'd, you can at least get an consolation prize of sorts while you ride it out, to either DCA into or divert into something that may be a better opportunity.

This is all shit I've learned (the hard way) over the last 9 months. I'm just being patient and accumulating more knowledge, because more opportunities will reveal themselves. I'll get out of the hole eventually.

Anyone who has done this care to share?

I like my current job and it pays OK at 60k, although I am overdue for a raise. I got an offer from a former boss to work at a shady small company for 90k. He was fired from my current company for fraud and gross regulatory violations.

The other head executive has a reputation in the industry for screwing former customers and not paying subcontractors when he sold his last business.

It feels like a Faustian bargain, it's a big pay increase, but this place is a collection of people who left or got fired from the reputable companies in the area. They also want me to quit my current job immediately with no notice.
