I think bullion bars can carry "exonumismatic" or "paranumismatic" value, which falls under the numismatic umbrella. To the anon asking what to buy, I prefer poured/cast bars over extruded and pressed/minted bars because they're much more pleasing to fondle and have a more authentic old-school feel to them but they don't usually carry as much value as limited production releases. The extent of my personal experience was buying a bunch of Envela 10 ounce Covid theme bars in 2020, they were $189 each and now sell for over $300, I sold one for $395 during the surge right after Russia started dabbling in Ukraine.
