There's a new Monero-carrying CEX that can be used for small volumes (<$2k/day withdrawal) non-KYC or $1M/day KYC: XeggeX

https://xeggex.com/market/XMR_USDT

The downside is that XeggeX doesn't actually have any fiat onramp/offramps so the closest you get is Tether... but if you can't figure out how to get USDT at this point you're a dummy.

tbqh, if a large entity like a state or even a group of states decides that they want to perform a 51% attack on monero network then it would be quite easy for them.
they don't even need to own the computers, they can just rent processing power from google or amazon or whatever, and pay that with out taxes lmao.
now, the 51% attack has limitations and can only do so much damage
>halt payments between some or all users
>reverse transactions that were completed while they were in control allowing them to double-spend
they can do all of that while maintaining the majority of the hash power.

>whats the lowest end specs anyone tried using to run a monero node? I was thinking of studying linux from scratch and running a node on it.
I don't know the absolute bottom, but some of the popular single board computers running Linux are capable of running a Monero node.

Using your car stereo to mine Monero. Turns out ASIC resistance wasn't a meme.
