Ok, the problem with distribution after bitcoin isn't that bitcoin's tech was somehow better.
It's that NOW everyone knows that crypto can have value, so you'll have huge amounts of hoarders right from the start of every new coin.
0xbtc does not solve this. There is no way to prove that the devs and their friends don't control all of the top wallets, and in fact it would be reasonable to assume they do.
