Was?
What is he even trying to say? That somehow, the mint accidentally did an oopsie and put gold into the 1 cent machine?
Or that they accidentally used to "gold" that's normally used for 10, 20 and 50 cents?
I'm to lazy to check, but don't they use blanks, which in turn must be a specific size for the coin you want to produce and the 1 cent coint definitely isnt' the size of the 10cent coin.
Likely it's just "bad" lighting.

Yeah, it's very coppery. Oddly enough, it's very high premium nowadays (~18%, at least for gold, that's quite high).

I'm looking to get some more small, low-premium gold.
Seems like the 2 Rand would fit the bill, plus it's got history and a nice edge.
However, it's 916Au. Looking at my Tchervonetz (sp?) wich is 900, I'm afraid it'll just look like Copper. Can anyone confirm or deny?
