I think US CBDC is not likely soon, especially if it depends on congressional approval. Also, both core-inflation meme metrics were released recently and it is NOT rolling over, but rather increasing quite steeply, so I can't find them using the "skip over the banking system" argument for rushing in FedCoins. Talk of FedCoin being a serious competition could be just a way to entice commercial banks into loosening lending standards.
