I find it strange that a monero advocate uses Windows as their primary operating system. Of course that doesn't mean your keys will be instantly stolen and sent to Microsoft and the CIA the moment you open the GUI on your Windows machine, but you need to be aware and have conscience that you are putting the key that gives access to your wealth into an operating system that you don't know how it works. And even if historically you have no reason to believe that Microsoft will deliberately scan your information and send it to their servers, all that needs to happen for that to stop being true is one malicious auto-update from either Microsoft or NSA or the CIA or whatever.
I personally wouldn't feel comfortable having Windows as my main OS and the one that I use to make custody of my wealth, but I usually imagine people understand the risks and do whatever they think is best.
