From my international experience, all coin shops operate the same. They know what sells, what doesn't sell, how long something sits on the shelf, and they are also aware of people's mindsets during certain political times.
The coin shops aren't there to make you happy. They sell to you stuff with a little bit more than it's worth, and buy your shit from you less than what it's worth. They got to pay the fee for keeping their business running, the lights, their own bills, their own food....so the majority of these shops operate in hivemind. They sell shit even more expensive during happenings right now. I called many shops today and ALL shops I called have prices literally pennies away from most ebay buyouts right now. Many places were sold out of silver just because a lot of people are afraid, including the common boomers who have thousands of rounds of silver and "NEED" to buy it all from whatever their favorite store is because Biden is here. It's all a fucking game. The only way to win is to get fucked when you pay premiums for silver, then wait a fuck ton of years and THEN see where silver is to sell it back if you need to....if not, pass it down. That's the only way to win in this business. It's not day trade.
