Lol people thinking this is not real. It happens all the time. Even in shit manufacturing jobs you're expected to give your surpevisor a gift for his birthday.

I was working at a company that makes water tanks for cars where the windshield liquid goes into and it was my surpevisors birthday. He kept asking me for a 24 pack. I didn't bring shit. Got fired a few weeks later because anon "it seems you're not happy here"

You're expected to be their family and friends even if you don't agree with how they are.
