Normally your bank account gives you interest for your money deposited in a bank account. The interest rates used to be larger before but are so negligible today that they might as well not exist at all. Interest rates are (or were) banks' way of competing for customers.
With negative interest rates, part of your deposited money will actually be straight-up pocketed by the bank

I had a question I think you might know the answer to. I'll copypaste it.

>Hey pan man quick question about mineral resource estimates. When the estimates have Measured, Indicated & Inferred resources, are the total amount of tonnes/ounces cumulative (M->Ind->Inf)? Meaning, when Measured estimate says for example 1Mt ore in the ground and 50koz Au, are the Indicated and Inferred estimates (which are obviously going to be larger estimates) totally separate or do they take the Measured estimate into account? If so, the Inferred estimate is the utmost hopeful estimate of the total amount of mineral resources in the ground. Or, if I look at a project's resource estimates with the most rose-tinted glasses possible, do I instead just add up M+I+I estimates to a total sum? Sorry if the question is badly formed, English isn't my first language

By the way have you heard of Gowest Gold? Their North Timmins Gold property (Located at Porcupine Lake Mining Camp, Ontario) seems amazing and they're aggressively trying to get their first gold deposit into production by early 2021. They've only done a PFS but they keep finding new potential high grade gold zones near their main project. The only thing holding me back is their massive leverage, their current ratio is as low as 8.6%, working capital C$-13.15M. They've done a lot of work on their near-future mine and they've stockpiled over 28kt of mined resource from the gold deposit ready for milling & processing but if they can't get the mine up and running smoothly they might start diluting shares or taking debt with bad terms.

Hey /pmg/ I'm new to all this and made an order which has been confirmed. I still have 3 days time to pay for it but if silver dives in that time, can I still cancel the order without paying and make a new purchase with lower prices instead?
