A lot of the federal bureaucracy loathes the administration. Really the only thing going for the Biden right now is that Trump is currently leading the primary, though within the federal govt people are already looking back on 2016-2020 as the good ol days.

It would've seemed impossible that the ensuing admin after Trump could result in an ever bigger crisis of credibility for the federal govt, but here we are. As bad as Trump was it never got nearly as vulgar and off-putting as picrel.

Bureaucrats do not like having their credibility and authority eroded. At least during the Trump years there was some fear at what the federal govt might be capable of, they'd vastly prefer that to being a laughingstock.
