I think I can feel myself getting less intelligent every day I spend waging for something I don't truly believe in. I work in tech and this stuff is pretty complicated yet I'm not passionate about any of it so it might as well be MC Ds.

I have around 3 hours each morning, from 9-11:30, where I have the mental capacity to do pretty much anything. The only problem is that's exactly the same amount of time I need to get everything done for work, so I spend the 3 most productive hours of my day doing something I could literally give 0 fucks about. I am payed well. I work for a large company. I am respected. Yet I could not care less. Sometimes I think that taking my career to the blockchain industry might change this, but something deep down inside of me knows that I will never truly be happy slaving for someone else. At least not until a very large sum of money is in play.

How is this changed? How did any anons who were in a similar situation pull out and start their own gig? I have ideas and side projects going on but after commuting, working, commuting, working out, wife needs, misc, I find that while I may have 1 hour I could divert from netflix/gaming to working on my personal projects, I am so fucking tired at that point I need alcohol just to reset and fuel the fire and that comes with it's own issues.

Have any anons gone from 9-5 suicide to doing their own thing? How did you do it? Is the only way to really do this to be either autistic enough to work for that many hours a day without a break or take the risk to quit my day job and pursue personal objectives? I have enough money to survive for 2-3 years and I'm in my late 20's. Should I try now? I don't want to go broke, but also don't want to wake up at 40 and feel the same way I do now. Someone please comment before I take this on over to R/depression.

Wow I just woke up and realized how good I have it as a neet.
People think that after 2years of unemployment you feel bad about yourself. But thats not the case since I am not wasting my precious time (which will never come back).
