Why would you buy into a single momentum-based stock when there are around 3000 different symbols on the NYSE alone? Diversification as a principle applies to your situation: If you had a properly diversified and busy portfolio, you would have better preoccupations than "Will the stock most talked about by literally everyone do what I want it to?"

I see a disappointing lack of charts in this thread. Where was the analysis for everyone's picks? Posting your portfolio does nothing if you do not explain it.

Percentage matters, and when you are starting out trading stocks, any good picks that are made with due diligence will make you feel better than any emotional picks ever could.

Why is everyone talking about NXTD? There was some recent news about new dealings, but for everyone to bring up this stock as a quick investment does not seem savvy. The jump on the fifteenth is already gone--unless someone can provide a decent argument to keep the positions, what is with the buzz?

Was AMPE still talked about recently? It seems heavily oversold, if that counts for anything, and I need more information. Was there some sort of issue a few days ago that led to the tank?
