I liked GameStop and have bough tons of games from them. I've also saved a lot of money from rewards points and gotten some neat pre order bonuses. I really can't fathom why someone would despise a video game store unless they were either paid to or are actively short against the stock.

That would be pretty cool. Most people believe that brick and mortar stores won't survive because they can only think in terms of selling physical goods. However if GameStop can also offer a quality experience (which is the essence of gaming), then maintaining their locations will benefit them even more. Hell, maybe even throw in some arcade machines and other novelty things. Make GameStop more than just a video game store, but a video game hub.

Same. Over the years I've been able to save quite a bit of money using rewards points, even on the basic free plan. Plus I've gotten some decent pre order bonuses from them. I think the only real dig at them is the amount they give when you sell your games, but I can't remember the last time I sold a game let alone even wanted to do so. The NPCs only hate GameStop because MSM has been telling them to do it for so long now. Short and distort is real.

I just went to GameStop to get Live A Live. The guys working there seemed like huge goobers, but it was nice because it seemed laidback. I first went to that particular GameStop nearly 20 year ago. Younger me never would have imagined that I would be investing in GameStop all these years later.

It's funny that MSM won't discuss any of these things and instead will only try to brute force the following point:

And the saddest thing is that the NPCs eat this shit up. Find any GameStop article that isn't stock related and the majority of comments will be "Ugh GameStop? How do they even still exist?" From our point of view it may seem like a lot of people are buying into the stock but in reality the vast majority of people will NEVER understand until they see on the news that GME is trading for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
