There's gnosticism which has a general on /X/ sometimes, check the archives. It's pretty based but I don't believe in it. If you're interested in Christianity it's worth looking into, even if merely learning about the non-canon gospels (Nag hammadi library) that the Catholic church rejected, and the history of what the church did to those that interpreted the word of Jesus differently.
