No. i wouldn't go long on vintage MTG at this time. Consider the cycles of nostalgia - vintage MTG has peaked. While WOTC/Hasbro is actually making record breaking money on MtG products (all you fags crying about wokeism shit and secret lair can stfu, look at sales) currently, the competitive side of MTG has shifted a lot to commander. Not many people playing Modern or Legacy. I would consider investing in sealed product that supports competitive commander.

Only thing i would buy in TCG's right now - sealed Pokemon (ESPECIALLY Japanese 151) and Sorcery Alpha/Beta sealed.Those two are about the best chance of substantial appreciation. Also, would recommend scooping the sw/sh era hits in PSA 10 now.

One Piece speculation bubble going strong. I would worry about longevity though. Still lots of money to be made here.

What are you buying? Thoughts on the market 5-10 years from now? 2021 peak has fallen, seeing cards down 90% from COVID madness in some cases...

Personally, I am always looking to scoop WOTC-era Pokemon. And also, with Yugioh 25th anniversary nostalgia hitting, I think the OG sets will appreciate nicely. 1st edition from LOB - Pharaoh Servant should see a resurgence in price.

Also, i believe Metazoo will do well long-term. Don't know why that is such a controversial opinion but personally i love the game.

What are you buying these days? TCGs and collectibles have been on the decline, generally, since covid mania in 2021. I've been looking to scoop more vintage WOTC Pokemon slabs and sealed product and have been buying Metazoo too.

Thread dedicate to TCG speculation and investing. I am currently stacking WOTC Pokemon 1st edition slabs and am unironically looking to delve into Metazoo. I bought a pack for fun at the LGS and am enamored by the artwork. The gameplay looks fun as well.
