While I haven’t bought any systems since the Nintendo Wii (years after the WiiU came out, because it was cheap as fuck and I could pirate/emulate EVERYTHING) I’m not sure your biases against the CONSOOMER are correct.

Men spend money on stupid shit like overpriced brand new cars that they’ll be making payments on for the rest of their lives ALL THE TIME. And I’m not sure the xbone is such a better purchase, with more expensive games and less piratablity.

If you want a console you can play with your kids, gf, alone, with friends, etc, switch looks like best bang for your buck.

(And just buy used cars unless you’ve really made it... new cars are such a losing investment.)

Nothing new there, US has been subsidizing agriculture for ages, sometimes taking our excess and dumping it into foreign markets at rock bottom prices that destroy the livelihood of local farmers.

It’s in a nations best interest to make sure things like the food supply are strong, even if that means filling up the grain silos with tax subsidized corn and wheat.
