If you're going to be a drinker in your later years you have to mature as one. I was at a birthday party last night. First rule is avoid hard liquor period during social gatherings, stick to beer. I had 2 24 ounce beers first thing, then they broke out the taco bar and I ate 6 tacos. Then I was able to drink all night and keep my composure. We tend to avoid food when we drink to avoid killing the buzz but you have to eat to prolonged the night. I drank all night after the food and was still able to behave myself after.
