Everyone should get a few ounces at some point, but I think the industrial nature of it will be of some concern when the depression hits. Despite it not being a money-metal, it is absolutely a store of value and will do quite well in the long-term. I think the allure to silver is its relationship to gold and thereby fiat currencies. I think the banks can allow platinum to run away like rhodium and palladium did but buying up silver is the relevant pressure point. That is the "critical hit" they want us to avoid.

Based. Half of the fun of stacking is dipping your toe in some of these more exotic metals and hoping they run ahead of the pack similar to Pd from 2008-2021. The Pt market is teeny tiny and its ability to vacuum up dollars is going to be minuscule relative to gold and silver. I have a couple ounces and it is sort of the cherry on top of the stack.

Have you seen the absolute state of comex vaults for plat?
The market is so tiny, it will be the first PM to break free. Plat is the canary in the coal mine.

It's far from a bad idea to hold a tiny position. The main issue is the liquidity, but beside that, it's a sensible choice.
Now help me with my mcdonald request pls. I'm starting to get hungry.
